Welcome to Grove House Stables Equestrian Centre.

Our aim is for you to enjoy your time spent with us & for you to learn & have fun at the same time. Grove House Stables was established in 1991 with one horse, one pony & a very muddy field! We have certainly come along way since then - we now have approximately 35 horses / ponies, a superb indoor Floodlit Riding Arena, an out-door Floodlit All Weather Riding Arena, Show Jumping Paddock, Cross Country Jumps, Heated Lecture Rooms, Computer Room & Reference Library.
There is also an adjoining cafe and shop serving home-cooked meals and snacks. We are fully approved by both the British Horse Society & the Association of British Riding Schools. We have a team of Experienced, Well Qualified & Supportive Instructors & Staff.

Opening Hours
We are open every day except Thursday which is our staff training day, and we open until 8.00 p.m. 4 nights a week.

Booking
Bookings are usually made about a week in advance, but we can sometimes take bookings at shorter notice. To book your lesson simply phone 01427 890802 or call in to the stables telling us of your experience & approximate height & weight.
To save time on the day of your lesson, we recommend that you print out and fill in our client acceptance form and bring it with you on the day of your lesson.

Cancellation Policy
Please can we remind all our clients that cancellations must be advised by 4.00pm on the day prior to your booking. In the event of a booking being cancelled after this cut-off, a charge of 50% of the lesson/booking price will be made, and in the event of non-attendance without notification, 100% of the lesson price will be charged. Cancellations made with less than 1 hour's notice will also be charged full lesson price.We regret that this will apply whatever the cause of cancellation in order to avoid the general surcharge that would have to be added onto all lessons to cover staffing and running costs. Clothing must be waterproof as lessons continue regardless of weather conditions.
Clothing
It is a good idea to bring a waterproof coat, as lessons continue regardless of the weather. If you have not ridden before, wear comfortable leggings or loose fitting jeans, flat shoes (they must have a small heel) or wellies (no trainers). Riding hats can be borrowed. However, after your first few lessons, it is a good idea to purchase your own hat which should be to a minimum standard P.A.S. 015 or B.S. E.N. 1384. It is also advisable to purchase proper riding boots & a body protector for jumping.
