Option One: One hour

30 minute riding lesson, followed by a 30-minute grooming and handling session, followed by the option of a hot or cold meal at The Dovecote Cafe (See food prices below*).

Minimum number 6

Maximum number 8 (per group)

Price £17.25 per person plus food if required (see below*)

Availability: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday afternoons.

Booking: We would recommend that parties are booked at least 4 weeks in advance. To make a booking, complete the attached booking form.

Suitable for: All ages and riding abilities.

Requirements: The completion of A Rider Client Acceptance Form by the parent of each child, plus suitable clothing (see Yellow leaflet for further details).

Option Two: Two hours

1 hour riding lesson, followed by 1 hour of grooming, handling and general pony knowledge (subjects may include types of feeds, points of the horse, how to tack-up and un-tack a pony, how to muck out a stable etc). This 2-hour session can again be followed by the option of having a hot or cold meal at The Dovecote Cafe (See food prices below*).

Option Three: Two hours advanced

1 hour advanced riding lesson including jumping and gymkhana games (riders must be competent at cantering and jumping unaided), followed by 1 hour of advanced grooming and handling (could include strapping, bandaging, plaiting, assembling bridles etc). This two-hour session can then be followed by an optional hot or cold meal at the Dovecote Cafe (see prices below*).

Maximum number: 8 (per group)

Price: £32.00 per person plus food if required (see below*)

Availability: 2.00pm - 4.00pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday.

Hat Hire:  Available at a cost of £1.00 per person.

Suitable for: Competent, experienced riders, capable of cantering and jumping unaided.

Requirements: The completion of A Rider Client Acceptance Form by the parent of each child, plus suitable clothing (see Yellow leaflet for further details).

Each child attending will receive a Grove House Stables Rosette.

The maximum number of 8 (per group) is necessary, as this is the maximum number of riders in our group sessions. This is for quality and safety reasons.

*Food Prices :

Cold meal - from £3.50 per person includes sandwiches, sausages & other cold food. Jelly & ice cream, drinks, balloons, a small gift for each guest plus a gift for the birthday child.

Hot meal - from £5.50 per person includes hot food and chips, drinks, jelly & ice cream, balloons, a small gift for each guest plus a gift for the birthday child.
