Riding Instructor Vacancy.

As a key member of a small team of instructors, this role calls for great collaboration and team work. You’ll quickly build rapport with your clients and play an important role in bringing their equestrian riding goals and dreams to life.

This role involves:

  • teaching people who want to ride as a leisure activity
  • helping prepare for competitions like show jumping, eventing or dressage
  • making sure health and safety rules are followed
  • helping horses and riders to warm up and cool down during training
  • developing training programmes suited to individual riders
  • giving practical demonstrations
  • helping riders correct problems
  • giving feedback and keeping records of rider development
  • assessing riders who are working towards qualifications
REQUIREMENTS

You’ll be an accomplished rider, qualified to BHS/ABRS/UKCC standard.

DBS checks are required as is accreditation for the Coaching Pathway for Riding for The Disabled Association.

A natural passion and enthusiasm for supporting important community programmes such as BHS ‘Changing lives Through Horses‘ is a real must! We want to recruit individuals who have an authentic interest in helping horses and humans to jointly fulfil their potential.

A flexible approach to working hours and a willingness to cover at short notice from time to time.

Apprentice Yard Operative / Riding Instructor

We have a number of opportunities for locally based Yard Operatives/riding coach with three shifts… AM/Midday/Evening. Our friendly team take pride in delivering a first-class equestrian experience. Primary responsibilities include: * giving horses food and water * filling hay nets * mucking out stables and replacing bedding * cleaning equipment like saddles and bridles * cleaning, brushing and clipping horses’ coats * monitoring the condition of horses and reporting problems * treating minor wounds, changing dressings and giving some medications * following instructions from vets when treatment is needed * using horsewalker * mobilising horses around the yard and fields as required * assisting with class preparation * assisting with Pony Club activities and children’s pony parties.

This position is 40 hours per week. Minimum wage applies.

REQUIREMENTS

As an entry level role into an equestrian career, an enthusiastic and hardworking approach is essential. We’re happy to train people with limited experience so long as they have an enthusiasm for learning and want to make a real contribution to the team. We’re looking for people who are passionate about horse welfare and delivering an excellent customer experience.

You’ll be a good communicator and not be afraid to ask questions to develop your learning. You’ll have a flexible approach to your hours of work and be willing to cover at short notice from time to time.

Equestrian Centre Office Assistant

Due to continued development of the our equestrian centre , we are searching for new part time team member to join us on zero hour contracts. We are looking for individuals who are able to cover time at the weekend or week day evenings.An apprentice role may be available.

we are looking for energetic, motivated office assistants who would really enjoy helping staff, students, children and adults in our busy equestrian centre.

The position will involve a range of customer care and administrative tasks.
